Harper 009: Black & White Texture Grab Bag #2 (icon-sized)

Hey y'all,

I'm finally beginning to catch up on posting my backlog of textures, and I decided to start out of order with my 9th texture set because it's the one that's been the most fun to make.  There are 43 unique textures in this batch, along with 4 black-and-white versions of textures in set 8 that I made for [info]innocent_lexys's texture battle a while back and 2 variations of other textures in this post.  Related notes and credit are at the bottom of this post
here.

Anyway, on to the textures, and I hope you guys find them at least marginally useful :)

stay cool,
Harper

Notes/Credit:

Texture battle credit: the following textures were made with screencaps provided by the following fabulous makers for [info]innocent_lexys's texture battle:
texture #1, 1st row: [info]my_innersanctum
texture #2, 2nd-to-last row: [info]apologizeg
texture #3, 2nd-to-last row: [info]antoinettemason
texture #4, 2nd-to-last row: [info]vetica
texture #1, last row: [info]apologizeg

There are more texture battle textures to come with the next batches.  Everyone provided such beautiful resources.

Oh, and for today's mostly off-topic question, I've heard some people prefer not getting textures from DeviantArt.  Does anyone know why this is?  (Depending on the reason, I might post these on box.com, mediafire or similar as well.)

Thank you!!! I am so glad to know I'm not alone on that! I love DA. It's so convenient to be able to surf through textures, plus it's so easy for actual posting. Thanks for sticking with my camp in this one, especially as a fellow CS person. Of everyone on my flist, you're one of the first whose judgment on online organization and site selection I'd trust.

Also, thank you SO MUCH for mentioning specific textures you can't wait to use. That kind of info helps me so much as a texture maker to learn what texture attributes are most helpful. I LOVE shapes and stripes and checker and stripe patterns, and I'm glad to know you like that type too.

And YES, there is more to come, which I am quite excited about. I was about to post it before I realized how many comments I had rudely neglected.
